6.062 Released – PG VPN Server Install

Team,

You can now use PG to install a VPN Server Install in 6.062.  Once installed, you can configure your client to link to your server to provide a vpn service.  Why pay for a separate service when you have another server to assist you!

Tested on a hertzner cloud instance, linked to the vpn, and was linked through Germany as a vpn from my server!

To recall your credentials, type pgvpn after you have installed the item.

There is also a wiki page being built for more info overtime:

Is it for the whole system or can you specify which containers? Personally, I only want torrents tunneled and the rest is fine as is since everything else is over SSL.

no this is for a vpn for you to connect to from your house; it's an extra feature; it's why i didn't put it in the install programs and made it's own menu.

I completely removed the pgvpn and instead used the docker container from the same source and had no issues at all. /shrug
I prefer having the docker container anyways. I now can VPN to my box, run through privoxy on my rutorrent-vpn container and out my other VPN. Allows me to grab torrents on the same IP address as the client (required for some trackers)

i ran the docker version and tested extensively and the reason i avoided is that it wouldn't work at times depending on the box it is installed on. The docker container would run into an issue where it could not utilize a file, cannot remember but there was no work arounds if the error occurred.
