Hey all!

So I found this awhile back, and thought I might give it a go. I currently have a Hetzner auction server, which works, but faster is better, eh? :)

I purchased:

I'm going to use the service listed: https://endoffice.com/minicolo.html which should come to $39 per month for 1Gbps unlimited, (I may try the 100Mbs first, but I have enough users I may really need 1Gbps!)

All-in-all, the new computer is about 2500+ higher passmark than my current i7-4400 server from Hetzner. I only do UseNet, so I don't see problems there either. Has anyone else done anything like this? :)

I'm curious to hear how this goes. Seems like a no-brainer for performance value. Especially for those of us not in Europe.

endoffice seems to be down for me at present, randomly this had me looking at hosting a mac mini or similar in Dublin and that turned into considering something awful/cheap from one provider (€11/m)

Alright, so I'm finally updating with my system and network results. The breakdown is as follows... System itself around $750, service fees $39/month with 1gbit port, or $24 for 100mbit. Traffic is 20TB (though I was told up to 60TB is allowable without incident.) If I prepay for a full year of service they give me a /29 block of IP address for free. They also give a credit of $24 to essentially reimburse for shipping costs. So, without further ado, I present my results.
