It was working fine on another remote virtual server (Ubuntu 16.04). I setup PG on a new local dedicated server (Ubuntu 18.04) and it’s not working. Any thoughts? Thank you. :)

Here is the output of the sonarr logs:

Also the same for me, was working, didn't change anything, now doesn't work with the exact same error message as the above.
It's something to do with the var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator/ folder not existing as if I create this manually I can run mp4_automator manually. Although it still doesn't work with sonarr/radarr, I assume permission issues on the folder I created manually.

At least I know it’s not just me. I think I’ll wipe my test server and try again. Maybe an update or something is breaking it.

Good work Miguel. I tested myself and got the same results after manually creating the folder; manual.py would work but not from sonarr/radarr.

I just changed permissions on the /var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator/ folder I created and the index.log file that was placed in there after the first manual run and it looks like its working.

chmod 777 both the /var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator/ directory and the index.log file and sonarr/radarr will work.

That won't work unfortunately admin, all that's inside that folder is the config file for how people want their converting to happen. The folder/file in question is actually within the container itself and mapped to a docker volume not a physical one.
Just did the following from the host which fixed it (thanks Fillbaxter for the tip)
Code:
sudo docker exec -it radarr chmod -R 777 /var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator
sudo docker exec -it sonarr chmod -R 777 /var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator
So if you can whack that in for the install process of mp4sonarr/radarr that should sort it.

Weird, will check out. Get the idea :D

It seems that the sickbeardMp4Converter developer has already changed the log path to '/var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator' , so that's the point of the unexpected error. The previous log was pointing to an info.log file within the sickbeardMP4 folder.

Ah that makes sense; I can have that path push to /opt/appdata. I’ll add to edge later today and just let me know the feedback.

Is there any update on this problem.

I tried changing permissions on the /var/log/sickbeard_mp4_automator/ folder, and it seemed to work for awhile. But now it's not working for me anymore. Nothing I have tried has got it to work again.

Is it working for anyone else?

The original creator of mp4_automator put in a "fix" 2-3 days ago which actually broke it more, i opened an issue last ngiht and he then fixed that, sonarr/radarr working smoothly for me since.

You should be able to just reinstall sonarr/radarr and it should pull down the latest image, for me it didn't pull down the latest mp4_automator so i made the changes to postSonarr.py & postRadarr.py

You can see the required changes highlighted here
https://github.com/mdhiggins/sickbeard_mp4_automator/commit/161947776ddfdc79b251fe081291218b84b2cd22

I don't think you will, once the sonarr/radarr+mp4_automator versions pick up the latest version of mp4_automator i can confirm but looks like the creator set up error checking & fallbacks if the /var/log directory isn't writeable to.

Thanks Miguel.

I got mine working by manually editing the files.

I have the same issue, and when I try to manually run it, I get this error:

notcorrectformat.JPG

Not sure why it isn't in the correct format...? Am I missing something?
