After reploying the containers in my environment I start to see containers gettings assigned random hostnames, resulting in them becoming inaccessible to each other.

My qbit container currently has the hostname "3e8aaadd97fc" which results in radarr having issues using "qbittorrent" as hostname for the download client. After changing it manually through portainer it resolves to the container IP for the plexguide network, from where it can't ping other containers?

Any suggestions how to get around/resolve this issue so I can stop wasting time on changing the config each time the physical server is restarted.

Thanks in advance!

That random hostname assignment is normal, the actual container name should still resolve. Just make sure all your containers are part of the plexguide network as well.
