Has anyone been able to get DelugeVPN to work. I have added the openvpn file in opt/appdata/deluge/openvpn and my PIA credentials in Portainer and still can't access the webgui. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did have this working but its MUCH easier to use the Transmission container which just seems to work with the 4 variables being added.

Hello everyone,

When I use portioner to duplicate/edit the transmission-van container to add the vpn information and click on deploy the container I get the following error:

Error when allocating new name: Invalid container name (/transmission-rss/transmission), only [a-zA-Z0-9][a-zA-Z0-9_.-] are allowed.

Anyone else run into this error?

Regards,

Francis

Looks like it's trying to start up the linked transmission RSS container, but in doing so it's messing up the name.

I can probably push an update to kill that link. It was there before flexget was available, which is much better for handling RSS feeds.

Would be nice, as this is my last option of getting a torrent client working. Deluge-vpn is not working and qBittorrent-vpn is not deleting torrents after finishing downloading by either Radarr and Sonarr.

Ok, that worked, I can now redeploy. But...next problem the OPENVPN_CONFIG seems not to work:

Code:
mknod: /dev/net/tun: File exists
Using OpenVPN provider: NORDVPN
Setting NORDVPN_PROTOCOL to: DE FRANKFURT
2020-01-26 10:36:20 Checking curl installation
2020-01-26 10:36:20 Removing existing configs
2020-01-26 10:36:20 Selecting the best server...
2020-01-26 10:36:20 Unable to find a server with the specified parameters, using any recommended server

Leaving the parameter empty its given the next results:

Code:
mknod: /dev/net/tun: File exists
Using OpenVPN provider: NORDVPN
2020-01-26 10:41:36 Checking curl installation
2020-01-26 10:41:36 Removing existing configs

Ok, Small update.

I looked at your script "updateConfigs.sh" and took the curl command line curl -s "https://api.nordvpn.com/v1/servers/countries" | jq --raw-output '.[] | [.code, .name] | @tsv' and run it on the machine to see its output. Apparently jq was not installed, after installing the curl worked and gave the correct output, countrycode and city.

Still no joy though:

Code:
mknod: /dev/net/tun: File exists

Is maybe the url wrong? nordcdn.com, should that be nordvpn.com?

Ok I am looking further at your script and I understand the nordcdn.com and that it is correct.

Anyone figure out what's going on with deluge-vpn?
Post automatically merged:

I was able to get the deluge-vpn container to work after changing a couple properties.

First, enable NET_ADMIN under the Capabilities tab.

Second, add /dev/net/tun as a device under the Runtime & Resource tab.

When I go into the container using the console and try to ping to google.com I seems it cannot resolve the dns.
Other container installed using PGblitz does not seem to have this problem....

Code:
ping: google.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
I see that same behaviour with the transmission-vpn container. It seems to be generic problem.

@fboterblom my only issue was when openvpn was starting up it reported that it didn't have the appropriate network permissions. I saw an error like this:

Code:
ERROR: Cannot ioctl TUNSETIFF tun: Operation not permitted (errno=1)

Hi all,

Oke i think i am nearly there with getting deluge VPN working. The latest update from Binhex remove the gettext error and tunnel error. But now i can't get in contact with deluge-vpn.private.cx. While with the firefox addon i can get the deluge VPN on the 172.17.0.15:8112, 127.0.0.1:8112 does not work.

Error with internal firewall or treafik ?

Proof of working deluge hidden within the server ;)

Yeah, i have thrown every trick i have to get this working. But mine basic knowledge of dockers and the firewall is just lacking. Would be nice if somebody with the right skills can but some love on this. ;)
