Hi,

just tried a new server with debian from testing branch. Now when I install plexguide everything is okay except the docker installation.

When I try to update the package manager it does not find the docker releases. Also it tries to user the docker version from Ubuntu:
Err:6 https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu NA Release

404 Not Found [IP: 52.222.161.181 443]

Reading package lists... Done

E: The repository 'https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu NA Release' does not have a Release file.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

Nevertheless I added it to the machine, but still got this error. How do I delete the old ubuntu entries?

I am using debian 9, just on a vm. before running the plexguide setup i did not add the docker repo or added the gpg keys.

Now I am wondering how i can remove the ubuntu urls in order to have apt updated.

Okay, deleted some ubuntu repo files which were not required.

But the installation of docker still fails:

# Executing docker install script, commit: 4957679

Either your platform is not easily detectable or is not supported by this

installer script.

If this is a fresh VM, best to wipe it out and start over. Dont get me wrong, your existing installation can be repaired but will require at bit of maintenance to get it back to a pre-plexguide configuration. In a nutshell, the plexguide/docker and apt repository are, for lack of a better word, corrupt.

I think the problem is split in two parts. 1) sources which is solved by deleting the sources.list.d folder which contained the old crap. 2) problem of installation of docker. Plexguide switches from the normal setup process to the old manual installation process of docker. Then cancels because it does not find the docker service.

Personally I don't care of recreating the vm image. It is more about to get a smooth installation process on debian for the community.
