Hey all
Quick question. I have a simple python script that runs as an hourly Cron job which syncs sonarr/radarr with sonarr4k/radarr4k. Presently I have it using the 172 ip addresses because the DNS short names don't resolve from the host. The problem is when the containers are redeployed or updated, their ips can change. Is there a way to address them by name from the host?

Try using the gateway ip and port instead of the actual container. It should automatically pass to the right container thanks to the port being forwarded.

just ran into the same problem. I ended up creating a docker container for the python script using https://hub.docker.com/_/python
when running the container add --network="plexguide" and use the local access information (eg sonarr:8989). That way, the script is run in the same network and you can use it with PG Shield deployed.
