Problem: several users, including my self have been having an issue when using the a GCP setup that in certain scenarios that SSH access is lost. To track the issue and narrow down its causes, please share detailed information of your setup and what happened before the issue. As more information is known I will add it to this post.

Information that would be helpful:
Region
CPU
Ram
Storage
OS
NVME- none or how many
Any special drive formatting such as RAID
PG version
When you lost SSH access- before PG installation, after PG installation.
Did you reboot or did it happen "randomly"
Are you using the cloud console, or did you create keys to use putty, etc.

Most of it is due to running out of space.

This would be the only cause, if your root / is full, good luck!

I have used all the combinations with GCE to included multiple NVMe drives in raid 0 and never had a problem rebooting the server and getting back in through SSH. I have rebooted countless times and always reboot after I pgupdate and apt-get upgrade.
