Maybe but worked for others as well. Happy to take a look at your setup if you want to share.

Thanks for this as it was very much needed. Using plex to scan for new media has worked well enough but I always kept my 'Empty Trash automatically' disabled. When a Movie or TV Show got updated Plex would mark it as a duplicate with one file showing as unavailable. This would sometimes cause the item to become unplayable. I would have to empty my trash daily. I put Plex Autoscan to the test by updating 50 plus TV Episodes and it updated Plex for every episode and automatically emptied the trash.

I had little trouble getting Plex Autoscan up and running but if anyone needs help don't hesitate to ask.

Can anyone tell me where the Log file is stored? I see a log file under /opt/appdata/pgscan but it does not contain the scan logs. I would like to see more than the last 50 lines.

Okay, still trying to get this going. Removed it all and attempting again. Is this correct? I've run the pgscan.sh script, I selected option 1 and after it finishes it shows PAS config missing (see link). Is there something I'm missing?

I am still having trouble too. my problem is a bit different though. eveything is setup and sonarr gives me a green checkmark for the test. the issue is sonarr never sends the notification to the plex server after it sucessfully downloads and moves the media into the correct folder. Anyone one run into this issue?

So I coded the pgscan ( plexautoscan part ).
Its pretty simple

Press 1 = it wil read the plex Preference file and curl the plex token!!
Pas Config missing = its shows only that plexautoscan is not installed!!

Just go the way what @homer8798 say and all is working

Don't edit the config json or any else .. ths script does all allone

For user they want plexautoscan for drive monitoring

Read the docs before from l3uddz and the docker owner

Remove the plexautoscan again and start fresh

Remove and redeploy it over the pgscan.sh

Be sure you do all steps dont miss any steps!!!
And don't edit the config.json file!!

On radarr and sonarr

You must do follow :

Settings > connections > webhooks >

On Import = YES

On Upgrade = YES

On Rename = TES

copy and.past the Webhook and test it

go to portainer > local > container > plexautoscan > logs and see the test part

When this works .. all works ..

Well done

I'm running into the same problem as @GrahamC7388

Everything installs fine, and I can even reach plexautoscan from the web to force a manual scan, but no matter what I get the same "did not exist on check xx of xx".

I know the file exists, and is sitting in mnt/unionfs/movies/(name of movie)

I'll play around with it more later, but yeah, same issue.
Most likely one of your mappings are incorrect. Are you running plex_autoscan direct on host or in a container? The log should show just prior to the file check, which file it's looking for with complete path. If you attach your log with a date/time of the error we may be able to help.

It is being included, there is also a fork which includes jellyfin/emby
From my understanding, that fork requires the Plex one to be setup, and it only triggers full scans of said libraries in jelly/emby due to both not having a granular way of triggering specific directory scans, based on my understanding.

You don't need to edit the mappjngs paths
Or modify the config.json

The mapping part Is correct.

```/mnt/unionfs/```
Only when you want to use the drive monitoring its need mapping parts.
Okay, I see. Well now I have an issue in that the docker container won't deploy. Removed everything and started fresh and went through the setup and the docker won't deploy.
It doesn't appear that anything failed other than the docker container deploying. Like I said I removed everything and and started fresh so it's the orginal config file.
