Hi

2 day ago i started seeing error messages like this one in Sabnzbd:
Refused connection with hostname "bensimpson.ch" from: 162.158.187.234 (X-Forwarded-For: 209.17.96.90)>Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Nimbostratus-Bot/v1.3.2; http://cloudsystemnetworks.com)

Due to the fact that sab is setup so it only accepts connections from my host its clear that the "attack" was prevented - what makes me curious is how this can happen at all as i have PGShield activated so i was under the impression that sab cannot be contacted without validated google account

do i have to worry? should i change something?

As i'm currently switching to nzbget (not related to this issue) - is there a similar mechanism integrated or would the switch lead to a decrease in security

All the best

You would have to get with the author of the project in regards to the protection. No attack is 100% prevent except through use of layers of defense and mitigation.

Are you publishing the sabzport to the bridge network, e.g. if you go to http://youripaddress:8080 can you get to sabz? Maybe thats how. If so, you need to close ports.
