Hey guys,

Any help would be appreciated at this point, i have run the setup and deployed Traefik as shown below it is telling me it is deployed. When using the domain name forwarded via godaddy i still can not reach any page, TLD or subdomain. Any idea would be appreciated.

Did you check the syslog? Any errors?

Did you already activate Pg guard? If not, try first to access your different container by IP + port to make sure everything works on that end. Then test a ping to your different sub domain. Check the log of traefik to see if there is any error. You could also try to increase the logging level of it to get more information.

So i can access the containers by ip + port, no issue with ping or tracert on domain name. Im guessing it may be an issue with the portainer setup?

For sure, the error messages in your log should be your first concern. Why not trying to delete and reinstall portainer.

I actually did delete and reinstall portainer, still no joy. Removed the Traefik config then reinstalled, no joy, went as far as completely removing the plexguide install and reinstalling from scratch, still unable to connect.. Starting to think im not going to be able to get reverse proxy to work at this rate.

So it would seem port 80 and 443 are closed on my Ubuntu install, can’t seem to open them. Pretty sure my host file is not present.

Ya port 443 and 80 are needed for traefik (and any other revser proxy)

So i have narrowed it down to my Router now, although i have forwarded the ports my router does not seem to be opening the ports at all. At a loss as to why. Router is listed below, but i can not find any other settings to forward ports other than virtual server and port forwarding.

Can you provide us more info on your install: root server or home server, Ubuntu or debian, If hosted what is your hoster...
Did you check if apparmor is not running?
What about running the command sudo lsof -i -P -n | grep LISTEN

Hey sorry for the delay,

It is a home server, I run one on a oneprovider server that works flawlessly for feeding my gdrive and a local server for plex and manual uploading, the home server is the problem, i can access all sub domains from inside the home network just not external, I think my router a d link DIR 882 is occupying port 80 on WAN and not forwarding even though I have forwarded 80,443, and all sub ports to the server. Will post output of lsof tomorrow but last time I checked the server it was listening to all ports required.
