Hi all,

I've got something new for you all! Varken! It's a super awesome project i found online! It gives you the Plex dashboard you never knew you wanted!

3297

Since the official repository splits the config into 3 different containers (services) i build a new container containing all the necessary tools into one.

Github: https://github.com/h1f0x/centos-varken
DockerHub: https://hub.docker.com/r/h1f0x/centos-varken

The app is available in the 8.6 repository of the pgblitz community repository for testing.

Name: varken

Installation Instructions

1. After deploying the container you need to add all your API keys to the config file at
Bash:
vi /opt/appdata/varken/varken.ini
2. Restart the container
Bash:
docker restart varken
3. Login to the WebUI at https://varken.<your-domain> with the user/pass: admin/admin

4. Import the dashboard
  • Dashboard > Import -> Enter the GrafanaID: 9585
  • Select "InfluxDB" at "varken"
  • Modify the rest to your needs and hit "Import"
Dokumentation can be found here:
- Official: https://github.com/Boerderij/Varken
- My Repo: https://github.com/h1f0x/centos-varken

As always I try to help as good as I can currently to help you set it up! And thank you for your feedback as always!

Cheers

Alright party people,

I noticed some strange behaviour a haven't had in my test environment. The database gets in a state wer it is constantly locked. You need to restart the docker container when this happens. I currently do not know why this is the case.

Maybe its from server to server different.

When does it lock up? or did you check the portainer logs?

So I've been trying to get it running. But I can't seem to get it working. I get Grafana working, get the dashboard loaded/imported... connect to InFluxDB successfully at least Grafana says so.

So it must be the varken.ini.... I am running PG Shield so I think that could be the cause of this. Is there a way to get it running alongside PG Shield?

sonarr:8989 doesn't work...

Well that's kinda the point of using PGShield, isn't it? ;)
I'm using OAuth, Traefik and PGShield with no problems when using the info above. For the variables I entered sonarr.mydomain.com. I assume you entered your API keys in the varken.ini?

Did you guys know that varken is Dutch for pig?
"Dutch for PIG. PIG is an Acronym for Plex/InfluxDB/Grafana"

Boerderij also means farm ;)

Hi all!

Update: Sorry I was a long for several weeks! I had just way to much to deal with on RL.

I merged all open Pull requests on the repo, the dockers are rebuilding with a lot of fixes. I will check the last few posts tomorrow and try to answer them all!

Cheers

Since a few days Varken seems broken (for me). When I restart the container it seems to work for a few seconds but then everything "disappears" again. Anyone experiences something similar? Any ideas what could be the reason?

Thanks and regards!

Hi All,

I've spent the past couple of days debugging and fixing Varken. There are some new install instructions so please uninstall it completely and follow the new instructions below:

I haven't finished updating all of the documentation yet and I would like to commit some time to improving this image to include Telegraf etc & also reduce the size of the docker image as it's currently around 2gb, for now it works though. You can tag me directly in any problem reports and I'll do my best to fix things
